False teachings are everywhere, and many believers are easily influenced because they are not firmly rooted in God’s Word. Spiritual maturity comes through knowing and obeying the Scriptures. Stand firmly upon the truth and refuse to be moved by every new doctrine. Christ desires His people to be spiritually stable. Scriptural Readings for the Day Ephesians 4:14 (KJV) “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV) “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) “Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.” Prayer Lord, establish me firmly in Your truth. Help me to grow in spiritual maturity and never be led away by false doctrine. Amen.
