Jesus warned that false prophets would arise and deceive many people in the last days. Not every preacher or teacher speaks the truth of God’s Word. We must test every teaching by the Scriptures and remain grounded in sound doctrine. Those who know God’s Word are less likely to be deceived. Scriptural Readings for the Day Matthew 24:11 (KJV) “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” 1 John 4:1 (KJV) “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Acts 17:11 (KJV) “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Prayer Father, grant me discernment to recognize truth from error.
