Jesus expects His followers to remain faithful until He returns. In His message to the churches, He repeatedly called believers to overcome, persevere, and hold firmly to what they had received. This shows that faithfulness is not merely about beginning the Christian journey but continuing steadfastly until the end. We live in a world where compromise often appears easier than obedience. Persecution, temptation, false teachings, worldly pleasures, and the cares of life can gradually weaken a believer’s commitment to Christ. Some who once served God fervently have become spiritually careless or abandoned their first love. However, the promises of God remain sure, and His grace is sufficient to sustain those who trust in Him. As we await the return of Jesus Christ, we must guard our faith and remain steadfast in holiness and obedience. Whatever challenges we face, let us hold fast to Christ until He comes. Scriptural Readings for the Day Revelation 2:25 (KJV) “But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.” Revelation 3:11 (KJV) “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Prayer Lord Jesus, strengthen me to remain faithful through every trial and temptation. Help me never to abandon the truth or compromise my faith. Give me the grace to hold fast to You until the day of Your glorious return. Amen.
